Driver app not sending otp

I hope this message finds you well. I am reaching out to seek your assistance with a technical issue that has been affecting the Onde Driver App since yesterday. Despite attempts to log in, the app has failed to send OTP verification codes to drivers via Whatsapp or SMS and this issue persists even after trying different network providers.

I would greatly appreciate it if you could help resolve this matter as soon as possible. The inability for new drivers to sign up is causing some inconveniences

Apologies for the inconvenience.

Kindly proceed with the following troubleshooting steps:

  1. kill and restart the app
  2. reinstall the app
  3. make a new attempt to get an sms code

    Also, to rule out any device issues, please:
    -Power Cycle the device (turn it off and then turn it back on again) to reconnect to Carrier Network
    -Free up memory by deleting old messages
    -Make sure the device is in good cell coverage
    -Make sure the device is not in roaming status or ported
    -Check if sms traffic from other apps is delivered
    -Alternatively, please swap the SIM to another phone to verify if the delivery issue is phone-related

If all the above is done and you still fail to get sms code, kindly advise the full phone number with the country code, and I will escalate the issue to our sms gateway provider for further resolution.

I would also appreciate :

  • date and time an SMS was requested (request should be within the last 24-48 hours);
  • name of the mobile network provider;

I try all u mentioned here yet I didn’t receive SMS or Whatsapp messages.though since I register I have never received code from SMS it always comes on Whatsapp

Hi, Victor125! Thank you for clarifying the issue. Indeed, there is no SMS delivery to Nigeria, all the OTPs come through Whatsapp only. As far as I can see in the logs, all the messages to these phone numbers fail with the following error:

Unable to deliver a message to this number. Common reasons are invalid number, handset is switched off or number is deactivated. See more details from the link below.

Can you please confirm if you have Whatsapp installed on the devises where you try to get the OTP to? Are you logged into Whatsapp with the same phone number that you use to log into the driver app?

My phone is not switched off is on and that two number are registered Whatsapp on my devices one is Whatsapp business while the second number is personal Whatsapp and messenger on both Whatsapp is delivered fine

As mentioned by my colleague, there is no SMS delivery to Nigeria, therefore, all the OTPs come through WhatsApp only.

I am writing to follow up on a technical issue that I have been experiencing for several days, despite multiple reports. The issue pertains to the OTP code, which is not being delivered to the driver app and customer Web app in Nigeria via SMS or Whatsapp In an effort to troubleshoot the problem, I have attempted to use various phone numbers and devices, but unfortunately, the issue persists.

For your reference, I have included the WhatsApp number that I have used for testing purposes, which has not received the OTP code. Additionally, please note that I am operating in Nigeria.

I would greatly appreciate it if you could look into this matter urgently and provide a resolution to this issue.

If u can’t possibly resolve this kindly disable the otp verification.because this is stoping drivers and customer from signing up

All numbers are registered on Whatsapp and am sending and receiving messages fine on it.
