OTP Delivery Issue in Nigeria
Good evening,

I’m experiencing technical difficulties with OTP code delivery to Nigeria. Despite troubleshooting efforts, our customers are not receiving the codes, which is hindering new driver and customer registrations and impacting ongoing advertising campaigns on Facebook. I kindly request your prompt assistance in resolving this issue to minimize disruptions. Thanks :pray:

Apologies for the inconvenience.

Kindly proceed with the following troubleshooting steps:

1. kill and restart the app
2. reinstall the app
3. make a new attempt to get an sms code

Also, to rule out any device issues, please:
-Power Cycle the device (turn it off and then turn it back on again) to reconnect to Carrier Network
-Free up memory by deleting old messages
-Make sure the device is in good cell coverage
-Make sure the device is not in roaming status or ported
-Check if sms traffic from other apps is delivered
-Alternatively, please swap the SIM to another phone to verify if the delivery issue is phone-related

If all the above is done and you are still failing to get sms code, kindly advise the full phone number with the country code, and I will escalate the issue to our sms gateway provider for further resolution.

I would also appreciate :

date and time an SMS was requested (request should be within last 24-48 hours);
name of the mobile network provider;

I have done all the troubleshooting yet The code is not Coming.

All my customers is experiencing same issues.i. Think the issue is from ur end not customer phone . because all. Customer can’t possibly face same issues at same time .I have even tried it in two of my devices yet otp code is not coming.pls help me resolve this is really affecting registration :pray:

Still not working bolt driver app and web app .

Pls is really affecting new drivers and customer registration :pray:.even my ongoing ads campaign is affecting it .if this can’t be resolved now . kindly disable the phone number verification.pls x​:pray:

Dear Victor,

Please, note that Nigeria is on WhatsApp channel for OTP code delivery.

There is no SMS available for the country.

Kindly ask the users who are facing an issue to install WhatsApp on the problematic devices and test OTP receipt.

Please, note that users have to be registered and logged into WhatsApp with the same phone number that OTP is requested from.

You can verify that the user is logged in his profile in WhatsApp with the same phone number by opening on the user’s device WhatsApp > Settings > tap on the profile picture.

@Admin2 I’m aware that otp to Nigeria is through Whatsapp.

Is not coming to whatsapp.otp is not delivery at all

Thank you for clarifying. Can you please give us 2-3 phone numbers that didn’t get the codes in the last 24 hours. We will start the investigation with our SMS gateway.
