Searching for pickup and drop-off addresses

Why does the system widen the search results to include far away places? Sometimes you type something and the results include places from different countries and far away places meanwhile there is a nearby place with the name being typed and that one is found at the middle on the list of searched results.

One the web app.
Since the customer is using my web app, his searches should only filter for places within my operational area and shouldn’t search beyond the operational area.

On the Pickmeapp.
Since it’s a general app for all operators and hence can’t be limited to one operational area, I suggest when something is typed, the most nearest places to the customer should come first before any other matching places.

Hi, Pickme!

Thank you for your question. We use Google addresses database for geolocation. The results you get are taken directly from their database and correspond to the results you would have gotten from Google Maps. I am afraid we can’t limit it to your operational area only.

How to use Google maps ? Because it hard to search the exact location to pickup in our place which is in our place have many block and college so that customer can’t see it . Is it have any solution for it ? Normally we use Google maps and the place should be no issue and can be find in Google maps easily .

Thank you for your message. Can you please give an example of an address that is easily found in Google maps, but not in our apps? Screenshots both from Google and from our web app would be much appreciated.

So that the example . In web app it show the place which far away first compare to the near one

Is it can use Google maps same with pickme app before because I used that app easily to find the location compared web app .

Dear Wan,

The reason for this might be that the Web App doesn’t have access to your current location, while the Google Maps app does. That’s why Google Maps can display the closest points on the map. It’s always best to search using the exact address.

So what is the solution ? Is it maps at pickmeapp and web app using different maps? Because using the it much easier to get the exact address. So can u give me some solution to get the address easier like pickmeapp on my web app ?

Please note that all our platform modules are using Google Maps, including Web app.
