Terminal Cash Payment

Will you please clarify on how terminal cash operates? When I set up my trip or order tariffs/ rates.I only set up for cash & card or cashless payment methods not taking terminal cash payment into account.Coz I thought that Ondelight also covers card payment method.

Terminal means the driver has a device to accept credit/debit cards.

To accept credit cards online you should do a lot on your side: 1. Have bank account 2. Have agreement with payment gateway (several gateways don’t want to open accounts if you don’t have enough cashflow)
3. Have necessary integration with the gateway.

Let me just add that in-app credit card payments are available for branded applications only. I am afraid you can’t integrate with a payment gateway and process payments online if you are using Onde.Light.

Hi,
Since drivers use a branded Onde demo driver app for Onde light to accept orders. When you say terminal cash means drivers should have a device that can accept credit card payments. Are you referring to types of mobile phones that they will be using? Either uOS or Android devices? Please clarify further.Thanks.

Dear Keletsom,

Thank you for your message. Demo Onde app is not branded, this is a generic application available for all users.

Terminal payments are payments process through external terminal, a special devise that processes credit card payments and should be installed in the driver’s car. You are welcome to read more about it on Wikipedia Payment terminal - Wikipedia
